New Information Emerge Concerning the Location of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Remains

Recent details have emerged concerning the shocking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were discovered at their Los Angeles home home on Sunday.

A Discovery

A source indicates citing a family associate, a massage therapist scheduled for an appointment was the first to notice something was wrong after failing to get inside the residence. The practitioner then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

After gaining access to the residence, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Her roommate who had accompanied her contacted 911. Following this, emergency responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Developments

Authorities have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, along with the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is now in custody without bail.

Correcting the Record

The confidential informant challenged several previously reported details. They said that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a guesthouse on the estate, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that time.

Additionally disputed widely reported claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "worried" about Nick's conduct in the weeks leading up to the incident. Instead the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation also extends to reports of reportedly "erratic" conduct by Nick at a event hosted by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the bodies were found. While the source said they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "rebuked" his son at the party, they maintained that reports of a "blow-up" between the two were untrue.

Investigation Timeline

As stated by law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Preliminary accounts suggested the state of their bodies suggested they had been dead for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, some 15 miles from the scene. He was due to appear in court on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, said his client had a medical issue and would be unable to attend until Wednesday at the earliest.
