Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- physician stands accused of performing assaults involving 38 victims who were patients.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
