Battlefield 6 BR Mode Launches Very Soon as a F2P Game Mode

After months of speculation, the BR experience for BF6 is finally releasing. Last week's talk indicating its debut would coincide with Season 1 were accurate. Players can jump into the gameplay starting tomorrow.

Season 1 Bringing a Brand-New Arena, Game Type, and Guns

Alongside the battle royale release, the first season is also starting. This brings a new map, a fresh game type, and new weapons. Additionally, Redsec is arriving. An included teaser will become available at release, providing fans a glimpse of what's to come.

Complimentary Structure Enables Battle Royale Available to Everyone

Possibly the most significant detail is that this new experience will be complimentary. In the vein of other offerings, you do not need to buy the base game to play. Several players have already tested early versions of the mode. Those tests were run in a collaborative space, which the studio described as their most ambitious community collaboration initiative.

The heart-pounding excitement during encounters with another squad can't be found in any other BR game. It's like a true survival situation, and you actually care if you make it or not.
Even though I considered myself a snob beforehand, I'm completely for the new mode now that I've experienced it.

These first feedback from participants have been very positive. Certainly, the experience may have changed over the past couple of months in terms of game balance and tempo. However, first impressions are strong that the battle royale could become a real rival to established titles. Some are hoping that the best guns from the main game will carry over in the battle royale.
