In a bizarre partnership that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "An unusual confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Extra Content

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Addition

This update also brings the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery." The series formerly included a 2020 cross-promotional story linking Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga. Moreover, Valhalla informally included a quest that obviously nodded to the famous series One-Punch Man.
