The Gunners' boss has expressed confidence that his team can keep managing with fitness issues after disclosing that star striker Kai Havertz is not ready for several more weeks.

Extended Absence for German Star

Havertz has been absent for months following knee surgery. Originally slated to come back earlier in December, Arteta revealed the player hit a snag when advancing his training and failed to reach “to the next level.”

“Our experience helped us build a squad that is considerably steadier and has greater depth,” commented Arteta.

This update presents a dilemma for Wednesday’s home game against Brentford. The manager needs to decide between persisting with Mikel Merino, who scored as a makeshift striker on Sunday, or reinstating Viktor Gyökeres, who came back off the bench off the bench.
